Jennifer Aniston reportedly found it "creepy" when Russell Brand tried to flirt with her.
The two stars were both at the recent MTV Movie Awards, which Russell hosted. He was reportedly enamoured with Jennifer and attempted to woo her when the cameras weren't around.
"Backstage, Russell spent hours trying to talk to Jen. He was laying it on thick, trying to flirt and make her laugh, but she wasn't interested. She laughed him off, but later told friends she found him rather creepy," an insider told the British edition of Grazia.
Jennifer is currently dating Justin Theroux, with the pair setting up home together in recent months.
Russell is single following his split from his wife Katy Perry last year, something he joked about at the film awards ceremony.
"Last time I did an MTV show I ended up marrying someone," he joked, in reference to when he first met Katy. "Tonight I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for my next wife."
