Russell Brand is said to be enamored with New Zealand singer Kimbra, because she makes him laugh.
The British comedian was recently seen deep in conversation with New Zealand star Kimbra at Soho House in Los Angeles. The brunette singer is best known for appearing in Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know music promo and caught Russell’s eye almost as soon as he arrived.
“They were on the garden patio for about an hour, talking with other guests like Jamie Foxx and True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgård, but mostly each other,” a source told Heat magazine. “Russell was laughing his head off at everything Kimbra said and it was clear he was into her.”
Many raised eyebrows were caused as the young singer bares more than a passing resemblance to Russell’s ex-wife Katy Perry.
The comedian was recently linked to Demi Moore, although he has insisted they are simply friends who both enjoy yoga.
He is thought to be single at the moment, although that doesn’t mean he has no interest in finding a new romantic partner soon.
“The beauty of eyes is that they can scan the horizon in any direction," he recently said, when asked who he currently "has his eye on". "I've got my eyes on everybody. No one's safe... except the underage and overage."
