Russell Crowe and wife Danielle Spencer have reportedly split.
The Gladiator star and his actress-and-singer wife have apparently gone their separate ways after a nine year marriage.
According to Australian publication The Sydney Morning Herald, Oscar-winning actor Russell is set to turn his undivided attention to his career in the wake of the split.
The 48-year-old is currently filming his next movie Noah in the US.
Reports state that the separation is amicable with Russell remaining on good terms with his now estranged wife.
Russell and 43-year-old Danielle have two children together, Charles and Tennyson, aged eight and six.
New Zealand born Russell and Danielle's split comes as a shock as they were considered a strong couple in showbusiness circles in Australia.
In April 2003 the pair married in a chapel on Russell's farm in New South Wales. They since moved to live in the Australian harbour side suburb of Rose Bay, where Danielle will reportedly stay living with their sons.
