Ryan Phillippe denies Katy Perry romance rumours
Ryan confirmed he was single on Twitter in March (17).
Ryan Phillippe has denied dating Katy Perry, insisting her "barely knows her".
It was reported in March (17) that the I Know What You Did Last Summer actor and the singer were "totally flirting" at Elton John's 70th birthday bash in Los Angeles. But Ryan has now put an end to the rumours, in a bid to stop the helicopters flying over his house in an attempt to spot them together.
"I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY," he wrote in block capitals on Twitter. "BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE. thx (thanks)."
When one user responded by writing he wouldn't mind people thinking he was dating the Roar singer, the 42-year-old replied, "don't mind 'people' thinking that. don't want low flying pervs hovering periodically."
Another joked his message is what "someone who has Katy Perry in a basement would say" to which Ryan humorously responded by tweeting, "shhhh."
It was reported last November (16) that the Cruel Intentions star had split from his law school student fiancee Paulina Slagter, who he began dating in 2011. Ryan confirmed the split rumours in March (17), when he tweeted that he was "single for the first time in many years... have no idea what to do."
Meanwhile, Katy, 32, split from Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom in March (17) after just over a year together, with their representatives saying in a statement at the time: "Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time."
Katy was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand between 2010 and 2012 while Ryan was married to Reese Witherspoon from 1999 to 2007. They are parents to daughter Ava, 17, and son Deacon, 13, and he also has another child, Kailani, five, with Pitch Perfect actress Alexis Knapp.
