Salma Hayek does her utmost not to be away from husband François Henri Pinault and daughter Valentina for any length of time.

The 48-year-old actress married French businessman François on Valentine’s Day in 2009, and the pair are parents to seven-year-old daughter Valentina.

And in a new interview, Salma opened up about the amount of love she has for her spouse, and admits she can’t believe she’s been lucky enough to find her soulmate.

“I wish I knew [when I was younger] that I was going to fall crazy in love with the perfect man,” Salma told Allure magazine. “I was so worried, and I dated some people I shouldn’t have dated. You get desperate, and you start seeing wonderful things in, like, the wrong guys. I also found some pretty good guys. But I wish I could say to myself, ‘Hey, chill out. You’re going to get a great husband that’s going to adore you.’ I would have saved myself a lot of personal drama.”

Salma is kept busy with her family life, her work commitments and her philanthropic pursuits. But she added to the publication that whatever she chooses to do in her life, she makes sure she doesn’t spend too long away from her daughter and husband.

“I’ve never been apart from my daughter for more than two weeks,” she said. “And same with François. We don’t separate for long periods of time. Never.”

In the accompanying photoshoot for the magazine, Salma shows off her incredible figure in a series of sexy shots including a topless one.

She also used the interview as a means of explaining her feelings about the state of the world at the moment, admitting she does everything within her power to try and promote peace globally.

“We live in a time where there’s so much violence and so much hate and so much racism, and it’s important to remind us of our humanity, and it’s a little bit healing,” she said. “I’m upset about the state of the world. It upsets me. So I try to do something, so at least I know that I’m not just sitting with the upsetness in my stomach.”
