Susan Sarandon's New York home has been targeted by burglars.

The Thelma and Louise star was out of town at the time. Her 22-year-old son Miles Robbins was at the Manhattan property but went out for the evening on Saturday (August 2) when the burglary happened, according to People magazine.

Among the items taken were some of Susan's jewellery, a laptop and a camera, but police won't know the full value until the 67-year-old actress returns home to see what is missing.

Miles apparently went out at around 8pm and came back at 3.30am, when he noticed someone had been inside the home and reported it to police who said the burglars probably came in through a terrace window or door.

Susan has recently completed detective thriller The Calling, due out on October 10, and is currently filming drama Mothers Day with Christina Ricci and Sharon Stone, set to be released in May next year.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Gemini:

Don't bring your work home with you. Although you're wonderfully efficient in your job, you require different skills when dealing with friends and family. Be generous with your praise, resources and encouragement. Someone who is struggling needs moral support. Giving a lecture about personal responsibility will not help. Instead, lend a sympathetic ear. Ask questions. Picture things from the other person's point of view. A receptive attitude will strengthen your relationship.More
