Saturdays compete for mum of year

Three of The Saturdays are set to battle it out for the title of Celebrity Mum of the Year.

Girl band mates Frankie Sandford, Una Foden and Rochelle Humes are among the list of nominees for Disney's Celebrity Mum of the Year 2014.

Other celebs in the running include Strictly Come Dancing winner Abbey Clancy, singer Sophie Ellis Bextor and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden.

TV presenters Emma Willis and Davina McCall, actress Denise Van Outen and singer Michelle Heaton are also among the names voted for by the public in a series of open nominations online.

However, some of last year's nominees have slipped off the list, including model and mum-of-four Katie Price and singer Adele.

Saturday Frankie, 25, is the newest mum on the list, having welcomed son Parker with footballer fiance Wayne Bridge just four months ago. Bandmate Una, 32, became a mum to daughter Aoife in 2012 and Rochelle, 24, and her JLS star husband Marvin Humes became parents to daughter Alaia-Mai last May.

Last year's winner, Spice Girl and mum-of-two Emma Bunton said: "This award is extra special as it's voted for by you the British public, and of course is about the most important thing - being a Mummy."

Voting is now open on the Disney For Mums UK Facebook page http://bit.ly/DisneyCelebMum
