'Scared' Lohan braves illness for court

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan will make it to court on Wednesday after becoming "scared" she would be re-arrested.

TMZ reports the actress is making plans to fly to Los Angeles from New York despite getting a doctor's note saying she was suffering from a respiratory infection and was unfit to fly.

The troubled star's new lawyer Mark Heller told the court on Tuesday that Lindsay would not be appearing to her mandatory probation hearing due to an "upper respiratory infection".

However, the star was pictured shopping in Manhattan's SoHo district when she was supposed to be ill.

And sources have reported that the star has been "wreaking havoc" on New York City's nightlife hot spots incessantly.

"For someone claiming to be sick, Lindsay's partying hasn't slowed down in the least. Lindsay has been partying and boozing non-stop in New York City," a source told Radar Online.

Lindsay is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday to face allegations she violated her probation stemming from a 2011 necklace theft case.

And although she is now represented by lawyer Mr. Heller, Lindsay has reportedly been "begging" her former attorney Shawn Holley to take her back as a client, despite firing her.

TMZ could not reach Ms. Holley for comment but reports the lawyer is "over Lindsay for good."

Lindsay could go to jail for over eight months if the judge finds her to be in violation of her probation.
