ScarJo: I want candy too

Scarlett Johansson laments the fact she constantly has to diet while male castmates like Chris Evans get to snack on sweets all day.

The 29-year-old actress stars in forthcoming Marvel picture Captain America: The Winter Soldier opposite Chris Evans.

And she noticed Chris got to eat anything he wanted on set while she was forced to maintain a healthy diet.

“I don’t even want to hear about that,” she told Variety after learning her co-star only had to work out for an hour per day in addition to having limitless dietary restrictions.

“I’m a girl trying to keep up with these guys. I look around, Chris is eating gummy bears and Skittles, and I’m eating a bag of dry popcorn. Oh well.”

Scarlett is currently expecting her first child with French journalist fiancé Romain Dauriac.

She has recently spoken about her desires to have it all when it comes to family life and career.

“It seems so stressful to not be able to spend time with your family because you're constantly chasing the tail of your own success," Scarlett said in the April issue of WSJ magazine.

“There must exist a world in which I can balance those things, be able to raise a family and still make a film a year, or work on my own, develop things, do theatre. I want to be able to have it all. Selfishly.”

Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Hayley Atwell, will reach US theatres April 4.
