Scarlett’s overwhelming love

Scarlett Johansson has gushed over how “unbelievable” her love is for her baby girl.

The 30-year-old actress welcomed her first child, a little girl named Rose Dorothy, back in September. And she’s opened up about the joy of being a parent.

“It’s wonderful. It’s very, very magical — and exhausting,” she told Barbara Walters in an interview for her ABC special, The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014.

Scarlett married her love Romain Dauriac in secret just one month after their daughter was born. Now they’ve got their little one to take care of, the star is completely taken by the depth of feeling she brings into their lives.

“The love is just unbelievable,” she gushed. “It’s very overwhelming.”

Her day-to-day workload was previously hopping between movie sets and promotional tours. Now she’s got a whole new range of tasks to pad out her day and apparently adores it all.

“[I do] the whole bit,” Scarlett explained. “I’m nursing and I love it.”

And the actress thinks breastfeeding serves more than one purpose. Many claim the duty can in fact help shed post-baby pounds, and Scarlett agrees.

“It’s the best way to get back in shape,” she added.

Prior to her settling down with Romain, Scarlett was married to actor Ryan Reynolds but the pair divorced in 2011 after less than three years. He is now expecting his first child with his second wife, Blake Lively.

Barbara’s annual special will air on Sunday and includes more from Scarlett. The show will also include interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler, Taylor Swift, talk show host Michael Strahan and billionaire David Koch.
