Nicole Scherzinger wants Lewis Hamilton to "prove he's willing to commit" to her fully if they get back together.

The stunning singer and Formula 1 star began dating in 2008 and the on/off couple split earlier this year, not long after Lewis hinted he was ready to propose.

Reports are swirling that the pair are close to a reunion, with Nicole eager to determine how their relationship should be moving forward.

"They had a big discussion about their relationship as they've realised how much they miss each other. They're both keen to get it back on track," a source told UK magazine Heat.

"Nicole is definitely laying down the law and saying she wants Lewis to prove he's willing to commit - and she wants to get married. They're not totally back together yet, they're giving each other some space before giving it another go."

Nicole and Lewis' hectic schedules have been blamed for their split. Earlier this month, a source revealed that their travel and work commitments will prevent them from being together for the rest of the year.

“They desperately want to be together but they know that from now until Christmas is going to be really tough,” the insider explained.

“They’re both willing to give it their best shot and try to make a success of it though.

“They love one another dearly and have deeply missed each other since they split.”
