Nicole Scherzinger apparently arrived a day later than originally planned for the judges' houses stage of the X Factor - so she could enjoy some time with boyfriend Lewis Hamilton.
The star, 34, was due to land in Dubai on Sunday but switched her flight so she could spend a night with the 27-year-old F1 ace in London on her way to film the ITV1 show from Los Angeles, The Sun and the Daily Mirror reported.
A hotel insider told The Sun: "Nicole was due in Dubai in plenty of time to settle in before shooting started.
"But she begged for some quality time with Lewis.
"It meant she had to step off an overnight plane and begin shooting straight away. She must have been exhausted but she felt it was worth it to spend just a few hours with her man. They're obviously very much loved up once more."
Earlier this year, the racing driver denied accusations that he'd betrayed the former Pussycat Doll on a night out following claims that Lewis had taken some women back to his hotel room for a party.
