Scherzinger sparks reunion rumours

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton met earlier this week, sparking reconciliation rumors.

The US singer split from Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton earlier this year, following an on/off relationship since 2008. She has been open about struggling to cope with the breakup, while he has used Twitter and interviews to try to win her back.

It seems Lewis' tactics might have worked, as the pair enjoyed a secret meet up on Monday. They tried to keep their get together at the exclusive Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London Hotel hush hush, but were busted when Lewis' car broke down.

"They were determined to keep the meeting under wraps, which is why they chose a hotel that isn’t used much by celebrities," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.

"Nicole will be livid Lewis’ car broke down because that’s what meant their cover was blown. He had to get out to let the mechanics sort out the issue."

The pair arrived at the hotel separately, with Lewis, 28, heading straight there as soon as his plane touched down in London.

It is claimed he begged Nicole, 35, to take time off from her hectic schedule so they could discuss their issues. She is currently a judge on the British version of The X Factor and her days are spent working with her team ahead of the live shows each weekend.

The couple got to the venue within minutes of each other, leaving seven-and-a-half hours later. Seemingly intent on wooing his ex, Lewis even brought along his dog Roscoe for her to coo over.

"Nicole hasn’t been able to properly operate without Lewis," the source said. "Some days it was a battle for her to even get out of bed."

During the audition period of The X Factor Nicole famously broke down in tears when a boy band sang a love song.

Shortly after the couple split in July, Lewis dedicated a race win to his ex-girlfriend which sparked rumours he wanted her back.

"It's not been the easiest few months. I was just saying that my family have been really supportive," he said. "It feels a little bit odd without that someone here - but I would say now that these are one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone."
