Phillip Schofield asked teenager Aleexandra Kefren whether she was 'out of her mind' as said she hopes to get at least one million euro selling her virginity

This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield questioned if a teenage girl was "out of her mind" as he grilled her about her plans to sell her virginity to the highest bidder.

Aleexandra Kefren, 18, told the ITV talk show she is hoping to get at least one million euro to raise enough money to save her family from eviction and fund her university education.

Schofield appeared alarmed when Ms Kefren said she had not considered her personal safety or whether the man who wins the bidding should be tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

He said: "I have two daughters and I have to ask, are you out of your mind? You haven't thought of the health aspects or the safety aspects. What are you thinking?"

She told Schofield and Holly Willoughby she had told her parents she was going to England to be a catwalk model and she believes they will never find out.

When Schofield pointed out there are "very bad people out there", Ms Kefren replied: "Someone with that kind of money will be a good man and won't have problems."

She told the show she is using a website to conduct the auction, who will take 20% of the proceeds.

Schofield said: "You have to look at this website you're doing it through. If they are taking 20% and sending you out there, you have to look at the relationship you have with them."

Willoughby encouraged Ms Kefren to speak to the show's counsellor after the interview was over.
