Scodelario: Skins part of who I am
Kaya Scodelario has said she was nervous about returning to final series of Skins.
The actress left the show three years ago but is back as Effy in two-part E4 drama Skins Fire, followed by Skins Pure and Skins Rise.
"When I said goodbye to Effy three years ago, I cried my eyes out," she said.
"It was really difficult for all of us to say goodbye, as it was our first job. It was hard to go into the world and start auditioning as real actors. And having to pay bills was rather scary too."
Kaya, who's appeared in Andrea Arnold's 2011 adaptation of Wuthering Heights and in last year's Now Is Good, said of returning to the Skins role: "I was really nervous about bringing her back. It took a lot of convincing because she's so precious to me and such an important part of who I am.
"So I was really focused on making sure the scripts and the storylines were right."
Kaya revealed she had another screen ambition - to play Rolling Stone Keith Richards.
"Cate Blanchett played Bob Dylan in I'm Not There, so I could do Keith Richards. He looked quite feminine when he was younger," she said.
:: Skins Fire is on E4 on July 1 and July 8; Skins Pure is on July 15 and 22; Skins Rise is on July 29 and August 5.
