The movie star takes his new love to the same vacation destination where he romanced Charlize Theron at the start of their romance.

Veteran actor Sean Penn turned heads in Hawaii on Wednesday (05Oct16) by frolicking in the ocean with his new lady love.

Earlier this year (16), the Milk star was said to have moved on from his relationship with Charlize Theron by dating a mystery blonde, and he made no attempt to hide his feelings for his new girlfriend as they enjoyed a vacation in Oahu this week.

Sean, 56, was photographed passionately kissing the bikini-clad woman as they took a dip in the water, while other pictures, obtained by the Daily Mail, show the new couple playing around in the ocean.

The actor and his girl, who appeared to be in her mid-20s, were also joined on the trip by a female friend, who met the pair on the beach before heading back to their hotel.

Penn has yet to comment on his new relationship, which emerges over a year after he split from Theron.

Ironically, the Hollywood stars first sparked rumours they were more than just friends after they were spotted holidaying in Hawaii together in December, 2013. They then went public with the romance at a 2014 Oscars after-party bash hosted by Penn's ex-wife Madonna, and reportedly became engaged months later.

Sean and Charlize parted ways last summer (15) after 18 months together.

Tabloid rumours suggested the actor had been left stunned by the abrupt break-up, as the South African beauty simply stopped returning his text messages and phone calls, but Charlize shut down the so-called 'ghosting' reports in a candid interview with WSJ magazine in April (16), insisting there was no such drama.

"There is a need to sensationalise things. When you leave a relationship there has to be some f**king crazy story or some crazy drama," she remarked. "And the f**king ghosting thing, like literally, I still don't even know what it is. It's just its own beast. We were in a relationship and then it didn't work anymore. And we both decided to separate. That's it."
