Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans are expecting their second child.

The Fantastic Four star and his wife, who are already parents to three-year-old daughter Ella Betsi, are "thrilled" to be expanding their family, a spokesperson confirmed to People.

The Welsh star, who now lives in Los Angeles, previously joked that he's being kept on his toes by his daughter.

"She's very, very strong. She's like her mother. I've got my work cut out for me at home," said the 39-year-old actor.

Ioan, who has starred in TV shows such as Hornblower and Poldark, next stars in Mariah Mundi And The Midas Box and has guest-starred on US TV show Castle.

His wife Alice, who he met on the set of Disney's 101 Dalmations sequel, played Esther in The Vampire Diaries and appeared on Grimm.
