Seth MacFarlane splits from Emilia Clarke

Seth MacFarlane

Seth MacFarlane has reportedly ended his relationship with new girlfriend Emilia Clarke.

The 39-year-old Family Guy creator and 25-year-old Game of Thrones actress were first linked back in September after they were spotted together at an Emmy afterparty.

According to E! News the couple have already decided to call it quits.

"They are no longer dating," a source told the outlet.

Apparently the pair’s work commitments were a big reason for the decision, but they have ended it amicably.

"It was really a location challenge. She has been in Europe shooting Game of Thrones and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends,” the source added.

The reported break-up happened just weeks after Seth served as the master of ceremonies at this year’s Academy Awards.

The funnyman is currently in pre-production on his next directorial effort, western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West.

It was recently announced he is also writing the follow-up to Oscar-winning comedy Ted.

Emilia meanwhile has a jam-packed schedule ahead. The actress is heading to Broadway with a featured role in the stage play Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She recently completed work on short film Shackled and comedy crime drama Dom Hemingway, co-starring Jude Law, with several promotional duties expected of her in the near future.

Neither star has commented on reports of their split.
