Seyfried refuses to be silenced

Amanda Seyfried worries she sometimes says a little "too much" in the hope people will see her as "real".

The actress is known for giving candid interviews and speaking openly about subjects other Hollywood stars might shy away from.

Her latest project is biopic Lovelace, which tells the sad story of porn star Linda Lovelace, who was forced into the adult movie world by her abusive husband.

The star can identify with Linda's need to put her side of the story across.

"You can't base your opinion [of someone] on what society is projecting of them. Everybody is three dimensional," she explained to Cover Media.

"I'm objective; people probably judge me all the time, because I put myself out there. They don't know who I am; they don't know what I'm really feeling. It's funny because I feel this need to prove to people I'm a real person all the time so I forget to be private and I say a little too much..."

A recent example is Amanda's interview with Elle magazine, where she spoke openly about sexual attraction.

While some might marvel at her willingness to share, it's something the pretty blonde will never shy away from.

"I love it, because you're not getting anything that's false. Lots of people are taught to be subdued and professional. I get that, but it doesn't work for me. I have a hard time speaking and articulating anyway so if I'm bulls**tting... that's not right!"

Amanda, 27, is currently believed to be single, but dated her Mamma Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper in the past.

She was happy to admit she's made some mistakes when it comes to relationships.

"Oh god, I've dated my share of the wrong people!" she laughed.

"I think as you grow up and go through your formative years especially, you're attracted to different things and you fall for people that may not be good for you but they're good for right now. You learn from it."
