Seyfried shuns singing
Amanda Seyfried doesn't like all the effort that goes into being a singer.
Despite having appeared in two huge musicals on the big screen, Mamma Mia and Les Misérables, Amanda prefers acting to singing. The 28-year-old doesn't like the lengths you have to go to when it comes to looking after your voice.
"I loved making Les Misérables, but I don't love being a singer," she told the British version of Elle. "You have to keep your instrument clean. You can't drink - it dries you up. You can have a little bit of whisky. I know all the tricks."
Alcohol isn't the only thing that's out of bounds when singing is your profession. Amanda went on to explain further what kind of lifestyle sacrifices are required.
"You have to sleep. You have to drink tea all the f**king time. You can't have milk or dairy," she revealed. "I don't think I'll ever have a good time doing that, because I like to drink and I like cheese. I'm just not into hardcore anything."
Amanda chooses to focus on her career and being the best actress she can be. She revealed that she looks to older actresses who seem to be comfortable in their own skin, like her co-star in A Million Ways to Die in the West, Charlize Theron.
"[She's] a total dude - so easy. I mean, there's something intimidating about her; maybe because she's taller and she knows who she is," she mused. "She has no filter and she's really funny. It shouldn't be intimidating, but it is."
