Sharon O's surgery regrets

Sharon Osbourne felt bad about getting weight loss surgery.

The Osbourne matriarch has been very open about her battles with weight control over the years.

According to Sharon, she realised the best way to handle her weight was simply to eat better and be active.

"I felt like such a cheat when I had that band on my stomach," she old Extra. "It makes you vomit the whole time. Nothing goes down 'cause it goes out."

These days Sharon sticks to the Atkins diet, with occasional cheat days. She deeply regrets getting the surgery, because it only backfired in the end.

“As you know, I got the lap-band and lost a ton of weight, but it made me so sick,” she previously told Us Weekly.

“That's why I had to remove it. But when I removed it, I gained about 45 pounds. That's when Atkins approached me about possibly doing this and I was like, ‘Where do I sign?'

Sharon encouraged her son Jack and husband Ozzy to lose weight with her, and these days the family treat healthy eating as a lifestyle rather than a diet. She insists it’s the only thing that has worked for her so far, and plans on doing it for a long time to come.

“They love it because it is so convenient. It's so yummy. It's all about proteins and vegetables. You can go out to eat and you can have scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, or a salad. On the diet, it's very broad what you can eat," she said.
