Sharon Osbourne 'puts X Factor return on hold'
Sharon Osbourne is reported to have put her decision about a potential return to The X Factor judging panel "on the back burner" amid rumours of trouble in her marriage.
Sharon Osbourne's decision about The X Factor is reportedly "up in the air" amid allegations of husband Ozzy's infidelity.
It had been claimed Sharon was gearing up to return to the judging panel of the television talent show, on which she previously appeared from 2004 to 2007.
However, following reports she has kicked spouse Ozzy out of their California mansion after more than 33 years of marriage, Sharon is said to be unsure how to proceed - both in her personal life and her professional one.
"It is an extraordinarily emotional time for her at present, and dealing with The X Factor is now on the back burner," a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper. "People in London learned of the issues late last week and are now waiting on what Sharon will do.
"If she needs to focus on making things work with Ozzy over the summer and the rest of the year, then trekking to and from London and Los Angeles will make things difficult.
“Everything is up in the air at the moment, and the hours are counting down before Simon (Cowell) and ITV want to lock down the panel. However Sharon is caught up in this matter and no-one knows exactly what she will do next."
Sources told British newspaper The Sun, Sharon and Ozzy became engaged in a heated argument last week (ends29Apr16) amid allegations of the musician's infidelity.
She is said to have confronted him with alleged proof he cheated on her with a 45-year-old celebrity hairdresser named Michelle Pugh. The insider claims Sharon went "ballistic" and insisted she had suspected he was having an affair for quite some time.
Sharon had been working out the terms of a deal that would factor in a return to The X Factor to fit with her commitments on U.S. chat show The Talk.
But now she is said to be concerned that being in London and away from Ozzy in LA will make it harder for them to move past this latest marriage scandal.
"Sharon is making her next few days all about Ozzy and getting to the bottom of this situation," the source added to the Mirror. "On the one hand she is livid, but also concerned that he could relapse on drink and drugs. Being in the same city will be important for them to work things out - being away for Sharon clearly makes things much harder."
