Shay Mitchell and rumoured basketball beau stay mum about romance.

Actress Shay Mitchell is reportedly dating American basketball player Jimmy Butler.

The Pretty Little Liars star and the Chicago Bulls player had lunch together at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday (07May16) and in a video obtained by, the two are seen laughing and smiling together while they waited for Shay's car in a parking garage.

The pair have yet to comment on the status of the relationship, but according to the publication, Shay and Jimmy recently started dating. Jimmy was seen out later that night and was asked about the lunch date, but he remained coy about the outing.

Shay previously dated Drake's cousin and assistant Ryan Silverstein, but the two split in 2014. She has also been linked to actor Jacob Artist. The 29-year-old recently opened up about her love life and revealed she does not like to put labels on her sexuality.

"When I started (out), people were like, 'What are you?' I'm like, 'Right now I'm dating a guy (but) I don't know what it's going to be in three years,' she told Cosmopolitan magazine earlier this month (May16). "You love who you love. Black, white, polka-dot, that's what my dad always said.

"I'm never going to label myself. I could be 50 and dating a woman and then what? I said I was straight and now I'm not?"

While Shay is open to dating whoever makes her happy, she previously insisted she refuses to go out with someone just to fill her time.

"I don't need anybody to feel complete," she told Seventeen magazine last year (15). "I don't need to be with somebody just to not be alone."
