Sheen wedding lie to shock Richards

Charlie Sheen says he lied about getting married to upset Denise Richards

Charlie Sheen has claimed he pretended to have married to his porn star girlfriend because he wanted to give his ex-wife Denise Richards a shock.

The Anger Management star tweeted a photo of himself with girlfriend Brett "Scottie" Rossi on holiday in Iceland saying that she had become his fourth wife, but according to the Daily Mirror has now told TMZ it was all a fake.

He posted the snap of them outside the former French consulate building in Reykjavik where a 1986 Cold War summit was held between then US president Ronald Reagan and USSR leader Mikhail Gorbachev and captioned it: "this is the house ware M Gorbachev R Reagan did some epic. it's also where S and I GOT MARRIED! c #RumorMilUhPede."

But Charlie has since told TMZ of his reasons for the lie: "I wanted to give Denise a stroke!"

He is said to be angry with his ex that she took their daughters Sam, nine, and Lola, eight, away on holiday over Christmas which he says meant that he couldn't see them.

Charlie reportedly sent a text to Denise before Christmas saying: "Lemme see if I got this straight; you won't even spring the girls for 30 mins, from the 10 mil house I gave you, (100 yds away) to come down and open the gifts their dad bought them before they leave??

"I hope your stocking is bronze-age coal stuffed along with an assortment of 8x10's of yours so you can see how despicable and heartlessly ugly you and your fermented soul continue to be."

Denise has said Charlie was invited away with them to spend time with the girls over Christmas.

He was also unable to see twin four-year-old sons Bob and Max with third wife Brooke Mueller because of an ongoing custody battle which means they are in the care of Brooke's brother Scott.
