Sheen went ‘halfsies’ on Lohan’s dress
Charlie Sheen reportedly offered to pay for half of Lindsay Lohan’s dress for the amfAR charity gala in New York last week in an attempt to help his struggling friend.
The 26-year-old actress is said to be struggling financially and she is currently living at home with her mother in New York.
Apparently she is residing with her parent because she can’t afford to live on her own.
Lindsay owed a reported $233,000 in unpaid taxes between 2009 and 2010 and her Scary Movie 5 co-star Charlie confirmed he gave her $100,000 to help with the bill.
It is now rumoured that Charlie phoned celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch and offered to “go halfsies” on a gown that Lindsay could wear to the amfAR AIDS charity’s annual New York Gala on February 6, an event that kicks off Fashion Week.
Phillip was touched by Charlie’s kind gesture.
"Never in a business like this do you see a celebrity pay for another celebrity," the stylist told Us Weekly magazine.
"He's very considerate."
Lindsay turned up to the event in a sparkling nude Theia gown.
Fellow celebrities Woody Allen, Karlie Kloss, John Legend and his fiancée Chrissy Teigen, Chloe Sevigny, and Cee Lo Green helped raise $2.3 million.
Lindsay has faced a string of money related woes of late.
It is speculated that the star is mired in so much debt that she can’t even pass a credit check to secure her own apartment.
