Blake Shelton urged Brandon Blackstock to ask for Kelly Clarkson's hand in marriage.
The 30-year-old American singer has been dating talent manager Brandon since late last year and the pair became engaged last week.
US The Voice coach Blake, who is married to country singer Miranda Lambert, has been very expressive about his thoughts on why Kelly and Brandon should tie the knot.
"I told Brandon [Blackstock], 'Man, you need to grow up and figure out that you need to marry this girl,' " Blake told Hollyscoop.
"You need to get your head out of your ass and ask that girl to marry you.
"I'm so glad he did [it]. He is one hardheaded dude - and she's the best thing to happen to him."
Blake can't wait to attend the couple's wedding.
The crooner will sing all sorts of romantic songs at the affair.
"I am going on the record saying I will do the music at the wedding or whatever [they] want to do," Blake said.
"I'll be that guy. I will play for four hours if I have to."
