Shia LaBeouf 'in scuffle over cap'

Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf reportedly got into a fight over a baseball cap while out drinking.

The Hollywood actor has been in London, UK, recently and decided to go for a quiet drink with his Nymphomaniac co-star Mia Goth. Although their stint at the Hobgoblin establishment in the New Cross area of the city started out well, trouble eventually reared its head.

"The scrap all started when this guy took his hat. I think he was just joking, but Shia didn't like it," a witness told British newspaper The Sun.

"The guy just took it off him and wouldn't give it back. He tried to get it back and they ended up tussling. It was handbags really."

Before the incident, the 26-year-old star had apparently been happy to talk to locals and pose for photographs.

At one point, a student grabbed at the hat Shia was wearing which was a souvenir from Laos in Asia.

The landlord of the London pub has confirmed Shia and Mia were drinking at the establishment. The 19-year-old model's mother lives nearby, with Shia accompanying her for a family visit.

"She came down to see her mum and he tagged along," Mark Harris explained to the publication. "He did get a bit frustrated and there was a bit of a scuffle."

Shia's spokesperson was not available to discuss the incident.
