Sienna Miller on motherhood challenges

Sienna Miller admits having a teething child is "a challenge".

The actress and her fiancé Tom Sturridge welcomed their first child, a daughter called Marlowe, into the world in July last year. Although the 11-month-old baby is doing "great" these days, the fact she's teething makes life tougher for the couple.

"She's teething now, so we've just been dealing with that," Sienna told Us Weekly. "She's crying a bit more now, but we wake up. I wake up every time. It's a challenge, but you beat it."

The blonde star took some time away from her acting career to focus on motherhood. She's been enjoying spending time with Marlowe in New York while Tom has recently been busy starring in the Broadway production of Orphans.

"I'm really glad I got to take this year and just be a mother. That's what I've been doing and it's the best thing ever. We absolutely love New York. There is so much for us to do with the parks and playgrounds - lots of activities for us to do," Sienna gushed.

"I'm so proud, [of Tom's success]. He did an amazing job and got nominated for a Tony! I'm very excited for him."

The 31-year-old spoke to the publication while attending a screening of Just Like a Woman in New York City earlier this week. Sienna revealed the secret behind her gorgeous shiny mane which was pulled into a ponytail on the night.

"Here's a secret: there's yogurt in it," she revealed. "[My daughter] Marlowe got it in my hair before mommy was leaving. I didn't have time to do my hair for real, so I just pulled it back and got the yogurt out, of course. But that's being a mother!"

Sienna says between parenthood and work commitments, there hasn't been much free time to discuss her and Tom's wedding. However, she assured they are still planning to tie the knot in the future.

"We'll get to it, though," Sienna smiled. "We will!"
