Sigourney Weaver: Women rule!
Sigourney Weaver is proud that women can prove their strength these days.
The actress is one of Hollywood's leading ladies and has earned three Oscar nominations throughout her career.
Now the 65-year-old is using her voice to speak up for females and how important they are.
"It's an age-old cliché that women are the weaker sex," she sighed to German magazine Meins. "Us women are a lot braver and stronger than men in many ways. Luckily we can prove that these days.
"Women are great leaders - in politics, economics and science. When we rule the world one day - which I hope we will - everything will be better!"
Sigourney has proved how strong she is by supporting the causes she believes in, such as fighting against natural disasters and global warming.
When it comes to religion, she's open about her views.
"Like they say: there's either evolution or there's a god. But the evolution, the balance of nature, is a huge miracle, as long as we don't destroy it. It can't just be a coincidence," she mused.
"It's just that I don't believe in a bearded old man up there. I think God is a beautiful woman!"
Sigourney has been busy promoting her latest film, Ridley Scott's Exodus: Gods and Kings. She's also signed up for the next three instalments of Avatar, which come out in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
