Simon Pegg reveals 'creepy collection'

Simon Pegg

Simon Pegg's wife thinks it is "creepy" that he collects action figures of himself.

The British star has appeared in several movies with a cult following, such as the Star Trek franchise. He is delighted that his choices of roles mean many dolls now exist in his image.

"Of course I do!" he laughed, when Q magazine asked if he collects action figures of himself.

"I used to collect figures as a kid so to have a boxed figure of me is an extraordinary pleasure. My wife thinks they're creepy. People who think it's unseemly to collect action figures of yourself are people who don't have action figures of themselves."

The star has favourites among the action figures. There is also one he isn't that sure about because he doesn't live up to the others.

"I do like my 12-inch talking Shaun of the Dead I also appear in many animal forms from Ice Age and Narnia. And there's a Lego Shaun now as well. There was a campaign online to get Lego Shaun made," he added. "I feel bad for Lego, he's not exactly Harry Potter."
