Simpson: I'd never do reality TV

Charlie Simpson has told his manager not to call him about reality TV offers

Charlie Simpson has slammed The X Factor - saying it "doesn't have much soul".

The former Busted rocker, who is set to embark on his biggest solo tour next March, also insisted he'd never follow the lead of McFly stars Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd and do a stint on reality TV.

"When I look at The X Factor, it's that same churned-out thing and it doesn't have much soul to it," he told The Star.

"It's sad for people who get washed up. They have people controlling it who don't seem to think about that... there's so much great music out there but people don't want to go and find it.

"They're being fed it through a machine."

And Charlie, who achieved some critical acclaim post-Busted with the rock group Fightstar, said shows like Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! weren't for him.

"I've told my manager anything that comes through like that I don't even want to hear about it. There's nothing about those that interests me at all."
