Singer Adele set to sign record £90m deal with Sony
Adele is said to be close to signing a £90m record contract - the biggest deal ever handed to a British musician.
The Sony Music contract would top the £80m EMI gave to Robbie Williams.
A source told The Sun: "We've secured the biggest music star in a generation. The deal is being worked on but is worth £90m."
The contract was negotiated by her manager Jonathan Dickins, the newspaper reported.
Michael Jackson's estate holds the record for the biggest deal in history, signed nine months after the singer's death.
The $250m (£164m) deal with Sony gave the label rights to up to 10 new recordings, back catalogue and franchising.
