Smith welcoming Fallon to Tonight
Will Smith will help Jimmy Fallon launch his run as the new host of The Tonight Show.
The Men in Black actor will sit down for an interview with the American comedian as he takes over the iconic late night show next month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
U2 will also join the line-up, serving as musical guest.
Jimmy announced the news during his winter Television Critics Association press tour session on Sunday.
As THR reports, the comedian's former Saturday Night Live co-star Tina Fey previously mentioned she hoped she'd serve as his first guest.
"Oh I hope so. I'm hoping that the first Tonight Show will open with me singing the national anthem. I haven't pitched that to anyone. Maybe the French national anthem? I could be the musical guest," she mused.
Jimmy said the first three weeks of the show have already been booked, although he declined to offer further details.
However, the funnyman has high hopes Justin Timberlake might clear his schedule for an appearance.
"Whenever he's available to play. He's always great to play with," Jimmy said of his frequent collaborator.
NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is scheduled to premiere in the US on February 17.
Will is expected to promote his new movie, Akiva Goldsman fantasy drama Winter's Tale, during the show.
