Snooki: I can be psycho

Published 06/03/2013

Snooki lost 42lbs. after her pregnancy for fear that her fiancé Jionni LaValle would leave her.

The Jersey Shore star was worried her fiancé Jionni LaValle might leave her if she didn’t win the battle of the bulge.

But the reality show queen revealed Jionni loves her new body after she shed a whopping 42lbs. following the birth of baby Lorenzo in August 2012.

“He gets mad now because I wear tight things or short skirts,” Snooki laughed to Us Weekly. “But part of me wanted to lose the weight for him because I’m psycho – I don’t want him to leave me!

“But he did start dating me when I was heavy, and he loved me then.”

The couple got engaged last March and were thrilled to welcome Lorenzo into the world at the end of the summer.

Following the baby’s arrival, Snooki said she wanted to make sure her beau’s attentions were fixed firmly on her.

“I also wanted Jionni to know I can be hot as a mom!” she declared.

Even more surprising for Jersey Shore fans is the news that Snooki has cut down on her drinking.

“I don’t want it as much,” she confessed. “When I had that first sip of wine, I hate it – it was bitter and sour, I think because it had been sitting under a light for two months.

“And when I drink I gain weight. It just messes up my whole routine.”

The star, real name Nicole Polizzi, dropped 20lbs. just by breastfeeding before enlisting the help of a trainer. The pair work together in the gym, with Snooki keeping her svelte shape by mixing plyometric work, 20 to 30 minutes of cardio and some Zumba or kickboxing.
