Snooki's pregnancy is reportedly causing "stress" for Jersey Shore producers who fear her impending motherhood could kill the party-hard atmosphere of the show.
It was revealed earlier this week that Snooki - who is expecting a baby boy with fiancé Jionni LaValle - will not be living with her co-stars in the newest season of the hit show.
Sources have now revealed to New York Daily News that the star's decision to live apart from the rest of the cast this summer has thrown the hit series into disarray.
"She's becoming costly [and] stressful for the show, but the show isn't sure it can afford to lose her," the insider explained to the publication.
The source added that Jersey Shore producers would prefer Snooki - real name Nicole Polizzi - to be in the same house as her castmates for "maximum drama."
However, they understand the "liability issues" of having her live under the same roof as her mischief-making housemates.
Snooki and Jionni will allegedly set up home within "walking distance" of the Jersey Shore house.
An MTV spokesperson declined to comment, as did a representative from Snooki's camp.
The reality TV star is also filming her spinoff with Jenni 'JWoww' Farley - titled Snooki and JWoww vs. the World.
