Snoop Dogg thinks his kids need to find their own path in life.
The 40-year-old rapper, who now goes by Snoop Lion, shares three children with wife Shante.
Snoop's eldest son Corde is pursuing his father's passion for hip hop and has started to pen his own songs.
The rapper is adamant that Corde invent his own voice.
"He's getting there," Snoop revealed to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I see myself in him, but he needs to walk in his own shoes."
Snoop's other son Cordell shares his dad's affinity for marijuana.
The 15-year-old teenager tweeted a picture of himself using Snoop's bong earlier this month.
"My kids can do whatever the hell they want," Snoop explained.
"For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf**kers don't have a relationship with their kids, and that's when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk."
