Sofía Vergara is a "sucker" for romance.
The Modern Family star, 40, is loved up with her fiancé Nick Loeb, who is almost four years her junior.
The Colombian actress enjoys a bit of romance in her everyday life.
"I am [romantic]," she revealed to the UK edition of OK! magazine.
"I cry every time I see a romantic film on TV. I'm a big sucker for emotions - always have been."
Sofía's Modern Family character Gloria is married to Jay, who is much older than her.
Preferring to opt for younger men herself, the actress was sceptical about her character at first.
"I didn't really like that about the script," she confessed.
"I thought, here we go again, I get to play the hot Latin woman who is a gold-digger. I don't like that image. But I realised quickly that the two characters are perfect for each other. They're in different stages of their lives, but they love each other. Age doesn't make a difference when you're in love."
