Somerhalder's 'bad turbulence'
Ian Somerhalder sent love to fans after a bad flight.
The Vampire Diaries star recently boarded a plane but felt compelled to reach out to fans on Twitter upon landing because the bumpy ride got him thinking about the people he loves.
Ian, who turned 35 earlier this month, also admitted he's been meditating quite a lot lately on the things he's done.
"On plane-bad turbulence always makes you pretty introspective;so does turning 35-both prompters of thought. In short,I love you Twitterverse," he shared.
Ian's message was met with an onslaught of responses from concerned fans.
"TWITTERVERSE LOVES YOU!" one admirer wrote.
"I love you too Ian. Have a safe flight! :) x," another added.
It wasn't Ian's first travel nightmare.
Last summer the star pleaded with baggage handlers in Belgium to stop their strike when his luggage got stuck in the country during a business trip.
After landing in Toronto, he learned workers for Swissport Handling had walked out on the job, leaving him without his belongings until union workers reached a deal.
"MY BAGS ARE STUCK IN BRUSSELS-THERE IS A STRIKE-THEY ARE KEEPING MY LUGGAGE!!PLEASE STOP STRIKING!!!" he tweeted. "GIVE ME MY BAGS BACK!"
Ian is meanwhile back to work on The Vampire Diaries. The hit show is currently in production for season five and it is scheduled to debut next year.
