One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush can’t believe she’s finally friends with her “girl crush” Connie Britton.

Actress Sophia Bush willed Connie Britton into her life simply by being so desperate to become her friend.

The One Tree Hill star is a huge fan of the Nashville actress, especially since watching her in NBC drama Friday Night Lights. But rather than use her Hollywood contacts to introduce them, Sophia relied on book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. The author believes that if you ask the universe for something and believe in it, you will be rewarded.

“Totally. I secreted that,” Sophia laughed when asked about her friendship with Connie on talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers. “I thought that that book was total bull and now I’m friends with Connie Britton and maybe it’s not. I didn’t make a vision board because that’s just creepy, but I basically just told everyone that would listen that she is fully my girl crush. I’m like: ‘Not only is she fabulous and fierce and the best actress, but she has the best hair and she works with the UN… this woman’s nailing it.’

“She just seems like the sort of person you could have a whisky with, right? So my best friend and I discovered that we both feel the same way about her and he’s like: ‘She lives in Nashville, my mom lives in Nashville, we’ll find her!’ and at that point I was like, ‘People say s**t like that to me on Twitter,' like, 'I’m gonna find you,' and I’m like, 'OK, creepy!’”

Instead, the star decided to wait until she bumped into her naturally – which is just what happened at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April (15). Sophia instantly spotted her “queen” and “zeroed in on that red hair”.

“She was so sweet and we started talking about world-changing and women in entertainment and we wound up sharing a couple of whiskies,” she recalled. “And fast-forward to this summer, I brought Connie to Uganda with me and we’re sitting on the Nile drinking whisky with her four-year-old (son) and I’m like: ‘I’m the creepy fan who became your friend, I did it, I win!’
