The band behind The Sopranos' famous theme tune is to headline the Holywood Blues and Jazz Festival at the end of this week.

Alabama 3 and their eclectic mix of country, blues and acid house will top the bill of more than 40 acts in the Co Down town as part of the newly relaunched festival.

Ten-piece ska band Doghouse and Celtic Soul, who play homage to Van Morrison, are to headline the other nights.

Local artists such as blues legends Rab McCullough, Linley Hamilton and Ronnie Greer will also take to one of the many stages throughout the town.

Alabama 3 will bring their Acoustic & Unplugged show to the festival marquee at Holywood Rugby Club on Saturday, May 30, while Doghouse will take to the stage on Friday, May 29.

Celtic Soul will close the festival at the Holywood Yacht Club on Sunday, May 31.

Tickets are available from Garry's Barber Shop in Holywood or from www.wegottickets.com. For more information, log on to www.facebook.com/HolywoodBluesJazzFestival or follow @BluesJazzFest on Twitter.
