Spencer Pratt insists Kim Kardashian was edited out of scenes for hit MTV show The Hills.

Spencer Pratt claims Kris Jenner wanted him to be Kim Kardashian’s manager.

The 32-year-old shot to fame appearing in MTV show The Hills, along with his now-wife Heidi. He was a star before Kim became a global phenomenon and insists her mom Kris wanted him to guide her blossoming career – an offer he quickly turned down.

“She can deny it if she wants, but she comes up to me and is like, ‘Spencer, I want you to manage Kim,’” he told Complex magazine. “I literally started laughing. What is this lady talking about?”

Representatives for Kim have denied Spencer was ever approached about managing her, but he continued to divulge details about her early attempts to secure a celebrity status. Spencer says the current queen of reality TV, who then referred to herself as a stylist, failed to make the cut in scenes in The Hills.

“She used to call Heidi to organise Heidi’s closet,” he said. “Kim was edited out of The Hills episodes organising Heidi’s closet.”

Spencer and Heidi may have gone on to make appearances in shows such as Celebrity Big Brother, but he accepts Kim is now a much bigger star.

“Now it’s like, ‘Kim Kardashian breaks the internet with her booty,’” he said. "Like, what the f**k? That’s real life for us.”

Spencer was renowned for causing rifts with his castmates on The Hills, most famously falling out with the show’s star Lauren Conrad, who was Heidi’s best friend at the time. He still seeks the spotlight and is even putting plans to start a family with Heidi on hold in the hope of securing more TV appearances.

“If you don’t have your own show, as far as I’m concerned, you are not famous,” Spencer explained. “Right now we may be going into another jungle. Or we may be doing Celebrity Big Brother All Star. Those are huge checks in the real world. Heidi couldn’t be on a series right now (if she was) pregnant. I’m just realistic.”
