Stars flock to Winter Wonderland

Tom Daley, Tara Palmer-Tom kinson and Matt Smith were among the stars who kicked off Christmas at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

The central London Christmas fair and market is back again this year and opened its gates to a celebrity guest list.

Palmer-Tomkinson, dressed in an orange miniskirt and matching jacket with fur trim, explained what Christmas meant to her.

She said: "I think that Christmas can be something you celebrate in a religious way or a biblical way; personally, it's something I celebrate with my family.

"It's giving everyone who stole your make-up that year, or stole your outfit, or stole your heels, or stole your Winter Wonderland ticket an opportunity for a clean slate."

Daley said: "Christmas is a really fun time in our house and it's also a day off training, which is handy for me too."

Other guests wrapping up against the wintry weather for the evening included Danny O'Donoghue, Jason Donovan, Jo Wiley, Kirstie Allsop, Brendan Cole and Jo Wood.

Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland includes a German Christmas market, an ice rink, a fairground, a circus, and food and drink stalls.

It is open from 10am to 10pm every day until January 4, except Christmas Day.
