Stars get dancing for Comic Relief

Countdown's Rachel Riley and ex-Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt were among the hot-footed stars raising funds for Comic Relief's Danceathon today.

The six-hour dance session, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, saw a host of celebrities join a crowd of fundraisers live on the BBC Red Button channel.

Comedian Rufus Hound, Hollywood tap dancer Adam Garcia and ex-Girls Aloud star Kimberly Walsh also took to the dancefloor.

Winkleman said: "This has been an absolutely epic day, the crowd put in a tremendous effort and I even busted out a few of my signature moves myself.

"I loved it and I hope we raised lots of cash for Comic Relief."

The money raised by the Comic Relief Danceathon will be spent in the UK and Africa, helping vulnerable and disadvantaged people to turn their lives around.

Also quick-stepping it to the stage were Strictly Come Dancing professionals Ian Waite, Janette Manrara, Kristina Rihanoff, and Robin Windsor.
