Katy Perry, Claire Danes and Elizabeth Banks were among the stars who attended the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington.

Hollywood's hottest names including Steven Spielberg, Kevin Spacey, Sharon Stone and Kerry Washington also joined US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle at the event, which took place at the Washington Hilton on April 27, and was hosted by TV presenter Conan O'Brien.

Teenage Dream songstress Katy looked like a goddess in a green flowing gown by Giambattista Valli, while Homeland star Claire, who attended the glitzy bash with husband Hugh Dancy, wore a jewelled blue dress by Prada.

Gangnam Style singer Psy was also at the dinner, along with Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson and Glee actor Darren Criss.

The President, who made his entrance to DJ Khaled's rap track All I Do Is Win, proved his sense of humour had not waned as he poked fun at himself and joked that the years are catching up to him and he's not "the strapping young Muslim socialist" he used to be.

"I just witnessed our President deliver the funniest speech I have ever heard. #nerdprom," tweeted Katy.

Don't let a manipulator take advantage of you. Someone with a sob story will ask for money or favours. Be prepared to turn them away. Although you want to be gracious, it simply isn't wise to give assistance to people with bad motives. Other people have warned you about this trickster. Take their advice. There's often a good reason why a person has a bad reputation. If anyone dares accuse you of being selfish, stay strong. You have a right to use your hard earned money for your own benefit.More
