Stars out at Scott Pilgrim premiere
Florence Welch, Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg were among the stars who took to the red carpet for the premiere of new film Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.
Michael Cera, the Canadian actor who plays the lead role of an unlikely action hero in the film, was also at the event at London's Leicester Square on Wednesday night.
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World is directed by Edgar Wright, the British filmmaker who made his name with Spaced, Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead.
Juno and Superbad star Michael plays the lead role, a weedy slacker who falls for the girl of his dreams only to find he has to fight her seven evil exes to win her heart.
He said he did not expect to make a habit of playing action heroes, joking that the part was not so much a dream role as "a nightmare come true".
Edgar, who was joined by his former Shaun Of The Dead colleagues Simon and Jessica Hynes, said his new movie was a rom-com with a difference.
"It's a romantic comedy but it's got action in it and it's got music and kung- fu," he said.
He added: "I was a big comic fan when I was a kid, 2000AD and Marvel. It lapsed a little bit and then I read these books which were the first I'd read in a long time."
