Stephanie Davis rushed to hospital with 'stress-related illness'

The former Hollyoaks actress is said to have been at the Premier Inn hotel in the city when the collapse occurred, leading to her being rushed to a nearby hospital.

Stephanie Davis was rushed to hospital on Wednesday (10May17) after collapsing in her Liverpool hotel.

The 24-year-old former Hollyoaks actress is said to have been at the Premier Inn hotel in the city when the collapse occurred, leading to her being rushed to a nearby hospital.

While details of her condition have not been released, a spokesperson for Stephanie confirmed it is a stress-related illness.

The mother-of-one has certainly had a stressful few weeks, with her on-off romance with Jeremy McConnell reportedly coming to an end once and for all, and the model appearing in court to deny assaulting Stephanie.

“Stephanie is currently in hospital and close family and friends are very worried about her," a source told The Sun newspaper. "It’s been an extremely difficult few weeks and she’s been feeling particularly low. She’s in the right place and will hopefully make a speedy recovery."

Stephanie's representative confirmed to the publication: "I can confirm our client Stephanie has been admitted into hospital with a stress related illness this afternoon... She is expected to make a quick and full recovery.”

Jeremy, 27, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court earlier on Wednesday to address the claims that led to his arrest last month. While he denied assaulting Stephanie, he pleaded guilty to damaging the actress' property during the incident in March, meaning a new trial date will be set for later this year.

Just hours before he appeared in court, Jeremy is said to have called time on his romance with Stephanie, moving out of her house and into a hotel.

"Jeremy left Stephanie’s home yesterday and has been staying in a hotel – a good move if they’re going to ever get along," a source told The Sun on Wednesday. "He’s going to pick up his things later today and fly to Ireland until the dust has settled."
