Strictly no regrets for Sir Bruce

TV stalwart Sir Bruce Forsyth has admitted he does not miss presenting Strictly Come Dancing.

In an interview on ITV's This Morning, when asked if he missed TV work and hosting Strictly, he said: "I do miss the telly in a way... But I don't miss doing Strictly because it was never the show that I thought it would be.

"I thought it'd be a comedy show - me getting amongst the contestants and me showing them how to dance and them all falling over, it was a different show. It's a great show and I love it from a point of view that I envy dancers having the energy that they have and knowing that I used to do all that kind of thing."

Sir Bruce was the show's presenter from 2004 to 2013.

He is currently promoting his newest venture, a one-man show at the London Palladium in May.

Talking about it, he said: "(That stage] means everything to me... that's what gave me the big break. I was more or less an unknown and was given the break there after having 16 years in the was the biggest break I could have ever dreamed of getting."
