Harry Styles and Taylor Swift reportedly conversed over the Internet for hours at a time over Christmas.
The lovebirds have been inseparable since they began dating in October.
One Direction band member Harry spent the holidays with his family and friends in the UK while the American singer was with her brood.
The couple made it a point to spend Christmas with each other despite their physical distance.
"Harry and Taylor spoke online up to five times a day while they were apart," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"They got their families involved too, so it wasn't just them locked inside their bedrooms for hours on end. It was a good opportunity to familiarise their families as they were all together at Christmas."
Harry is said to have hired a singing telegram to perform for Taylor at Christmas.
Apparently he is on his way to the US to see Taylor so that they can celebrate the first moments of 2013 together.
