Styles expresses opera interest

Harry Styles

One Direction star Harry Styles has expressed an interest in opera singing, according to British tenor David Webb.

The Sun reports that The One Direction star apparently engaged in a discussion with tenor David Webb backstage at the recent Brit Awards.

David is part of classical four piece act Amore.

“Harry told me the idea of opera was interesting to him,” the tenor told The Sun.

“It was good for him to see the difference between us and the stereotype of opera.”

However, it’s unlikely the young heart-throb will try his hand at another music genre just yet.

He and his bandmates Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne were recently reported to be struggling to handle their “incredibly manic lives”.

The British boy band have embarked on a worldwide tour that boasts 117 dates across North America, Australasia and Europe.

“The guys have incredibly manic professional and personal lives, and they started getting stressed out about their ever-increasing workload,” a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

Meanwhile, Harry didn’t seem too put out at being awarded the Villain of the Year gong at the recent NME awards ceremony.

One Direction were also named Worst Band.

“And thank you to @NME for my award tonight. Gotta take the rough with the smooth eh?’ he wrote on his Twitter page on Friday.
