Susanna Reid: I'm no sex symbol

Susanna Reid may set temperatures soaring on the Strictly dancefloor - but her boyfriend laughs at her sex symbol status.

The BBC Breakfast presenter and mother of three insisted that her good looks are all an illusion and that even boyfriend Dominic Cotton agrees.

Susanna, 42, told Woman magazine: "He think its hilarious when people say I'm a sex symbol.

"He says if they saw me first thing in the morning, they wouldn't think it."

The Daily Mirror said she told the magazine: "On TV I look half-decent because I've been made to look that way, but it's an illusion.

"I certainly don't look like 'telly me' off-screen.

"People talk about me embracing my sexy side, but I don't feel that way."

Susanna, who has impressed the judges with her footwork with Kevin Clifton on Strictly Come Dancing, said she'd got used to the focus on her looks on the BBC Breakfast sofa.

"Comments about my cleavage and appearance are bizarre," she said.

"But I've accepted TV's a visual medium so there'll be a focus on my looks."
